Meet “Random Remmie” – she’s had narcolepsy for as long as she can remember. She hates making her bed, she has a lot of pajamas, slippers, and a blue blanket. She’s really random.
About the Artist: Julie Barfuss has lived in Utah her whole life. She doesn’t remember not being tired. She struggled to stay awake in school and barely graduated with one of the lowest GPA’s one could graduate with. The first class Julie ever failed was art. She never graduated from stick figures. Narcolepsy has a tendency to put Julie in a funk, so she draws to keep her spirits up.
REM Runner’s Note: Thank you, Julie for creating these fun educational cartoons about living with narcolepsy. You’ve hit the nail on the head and made me laugh many times over. Thank you, Random Remmie for joining the NARCOLEPSY: NOT ALONE campaign!
